Dear Reader,

The Story that follows this introduction is written in a way that makes it look a little bit like a screenplay, but it is not quite at that stage, yet.

This is the Story Treatment we are using to build a Series of Screenplays from.

I hope that in this Story Treatment, the Reader will experience a big, long, beautiful, Journey, that is written as seen from The view of a Camera.

For me, this Story has been like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn riding down the Mississippi River, and encountering one adventure after another. Crazy things happen, but the river, and time, keep flowing forward directly into the next crazy thing. As I am writing this year after year, The Characters in this Story feel like they are in very much the same situation as those boys out on the Mississippi River. In short: I am trying to make a long, beautiful, satisfying, ride, in “The Photographer”. And the flavors! The Colors! The Music! You will be so happy to taste, feel, and hear the ups and downs of their Journey and Adventures…..there are so many you see. 100 one-hour episodes, in a row. It is a whole Universe.

After anyone in any part of the Film/Television Industry reads this Story Treatment: the Branching begins. Each participant will then know enough to begin building their area of responsibility. The Stuntman or Woman will be able to SEE what they think should happen. You couldn’t stop them from seeing the scenes play out in front of them. It is what they live to do. A Director of Photography will FEEL how the visual palate should change, as the Story moves around The World. The Casting Director or Agency will KNOW which Actor or Actress can tell their part of this Story in the most remarkable way.

I have been writing this Story for decades, and it is now time to start building it. But, there are so many things I still need to change, like: The Story Treatments are still written in the wrong font. The first 45 Episodes are much slower than the last 45 Episodes. There is far too much feather-dusting in many Episodes. Several of the Characters are still too one-dimensional, and the Plot is driven by too high a ratio of Dialog, and too low a ratio of Action by the Characters. The Plot Development of each Episode is not arranged in a 3-act format. The Arecibo dish in Puerto Rico, and the twin KECK Observatories in Hawaii are used as place holders for a wide range of telescopes around the World. Etc., etc. etc. These things will be decided by all of us now, instead of just me.

The Development stage is trying to turn into the Pre-Production stage, but there is still so much interesting, fun, and exciting stuff to do first.

To that end, this Story Treatment is the armature, the skeleton, that the next level of details will spring from. For me, this Story Treatment is the stalk of the plant. The flowers are coming! And if you are reading this, you might be bringing some of them.

Thank you in advance for your patience in reading through this material. It has been a really wonderful place for me to live for the past 17 years. I wish for the Reader to have the same rich experiences that I have enjoyed.
